Let me tell you hospitals suck…they smell bad, the color is bland, and the suck even more when all you want to do it get out of them… Yesterday I went skiing with the crew and best to say the day did not end well… After getting stuck on a cliff band I came to a spot were It was huck or hike out… And mind you I have hucked this cliff before… went for it and landed flat (to tell the truth I dont remember this) and got buck and knocked myself out… I thank god for the people that I work with because with out them I would have continued skiing and might have hurt myself more… They got me to the hospital and the rest is history… well after a minor concusion and abdominal conustions the rest is history… and to finish my story life is starting to look up with my eye infection being gone and I have now have access to contacts in both eyes….
One last thing that is bothering me….
In the last few days Jeremy Lusk died. I did not know him personal but I meet him at X and he treated me with great respect and I hope that his journey to the next life is a good one. The thing that bothers me is that ESPN has been spending more time on the asshole from the souths (Brett Farve) retirement then Jeremy Lusk’s passing. I do understand that football has a bigger audience than Moto X but a life is a life and in my opinion every life should have a moment of silence and a moment of rememberance as were ESPN has only made a small remark about his passing. His passing is in the same world as Johny Nic’s in the Freeskiing World and we took our time remembering him and then sending a shout out to him and the others that were ripping lines in the great white above us. As Johny passing was criticized by the media, I am sure that Jeremy Lusk’s will be to, and in my well being the people that say ” he died being stupid, I hope that other learn.” should be beaten to near death. To all the Moto guys who read this, as well as the freeski community, we have a knowledge that what we do has risk and we take them for the rush that we get. We understand that, and when, athletes of other sports died in the field that they were doing what they loved not being idiots trying to make a buck . I wish and hope that one day people will see that what everyone does is not for the almighty dollar it is for the happiness that we have doing our job and no one should ever be critized for their work. Peace out.
